My Family & Friends

My Family

I live in Germany in a city near Frankfurt. Since december 2012 I’ve been living with my parents (Mom and Step Dad) again. I’ve moved out when I was 18 but decided to move back in to save some money for my time in the U.S.

We have a nice house with a small garden where we can have barbecues or simply eat outside. Since I moved back in I’ve been living in the basement in a two-room apartment with my two very sweet cats, Peepers and Sookie. My parents have four cats on their own but we have to keep them separately because they don’t like each other very well.

Mummy and me visiting Lanzarote

My mom is a gorgeous 51-year old woman who knows exactly what she wants. She supports me in life and every decision I make.
My dad is a handsome 52-year old who always has some kind words for me. Both my parents are remarried.
My step-mom is 41-years old and the perfect woman for my dad. We can talk about anything and she brings out the girly side in me.
My step-dad is 47-years old and always supportive. Throughout the years when I played handball he never said a word when they had to take me different places all over Germany.

And then there is my little brother. We barely look like siblings but that doesn’t matter. He’s a part of me and will always be. Right now he’s 10-years old and I have the feeling his interests change from one second to another. It’s amazing to watch him grow taller and taller every day. He’s 10-years old and can already reach my shoulders with his head. Not to imagine what a surprise it’ll be when I come back from my time as an au pair and he could look me right in the eye and say “Hey older sister”.

My Friends

My LadiesAs important family is to me there is another part of my family. My friends. Since high school we’ve been a group of 5 very different girls. But we match perfectly. It’s a bit like S** and the City – and it’s not about the time we haven’t seen each other. We always start where we left off. Even though we don’t see each other that often, we always stay in contact and keep each other posted.
One of my friends is already engaged and hopefully next year she will walk down the aisle.
We can laugh together, watch old disney movies or simply cook something and enjoy each others company.
I’m proud I can say that I’m their friends.

I like spending time with my other friends too. We enjoy a good day at the beach or in the park – and shopping is also a big part of my time with my friends. Which girl doesn’t like to go shopping?
